A living will is a document where you make your wishes known as to the use of artificial life-prolonging procedures, including food and hydration, in the event that you become incapacitated. It requires two physicians to determine whether you are in an end stage condition, terminally ill, and/or in a persistent, irreversible vegetative state. By having a living will, it helps relieve family members from making these decisions for you.
